The low pressure steam heating system upgrade project includes the installation of five new low pressure steam boilers to provide steam for plant wide process and building heating. The five boilers with a total capacity of 3200 BHP will be installed in the original circa 1900’s boiler building requiring an extensive new steel structure to support the boilers. The historic architectural features of the boiler building will be preserved as part of the boiler upgrade. In addition, the existing plant wide steam distribution and condensate return piping will be replaced and extended as part of the project.
