Continuing in its role providing program management services for the Rochester Schools Modernization Program, Savin is currently administering Phase II of the four-phase $1.4 billion comprehensive plan
to bring enhanced 21st century learning environments for public school students in New York's third largest city.
The Phase II Master Plan involved reconstruction, expansion and infrastructure projects at 13 schools. Many of the project scopes included: providing Pre-K classrooms, expanding Special Education rooms, creating computer labs, collaborative Maker Spaces, modernized athletic facilities and installing digital technology enhancements in all learning areas.
Savin Engineers has also included in its services the operation of the Business Opportunities Program (BOP) which supports the initiatives of the RJSCB's Diversity Plan. The M/W/D/SBE Business Utilization overall goal has been exceeded with almost 40% of the total contract value, totaling $100 million, awarded to Eligible Business Enterprises (EBEs).
